August has been super hot and dry. We sure could use some rain. As a reminder, your yard needs water. This is critical to maintain the health of the turf, but also to not allow weeds to take over. Water as often as your water company currently allows.
Also, if there is rain in the forecast, try to water in advance. If the ground is dry and hard, the rain will not absorb into the ground as easily but rather just roll off and provide little benefit.
